Words of affirmation. We all need it from time to time. Like the child who runs to you with an “A” graded test, aside from their personal celebration, they want to hear your “wow, good job.” They want you to join in them in their joy. “There are no two words more harmful than good job,” J.K Simmons said in the movie Whiplash. I think there’s nothing more harmful than no words. There are relationships out there who are emotionally dehydrating because we simply stop doing what brought us together in the first place — our admiration and praise to each other as human beings.
