FCPX and Music Making

An amazing tutorial by Light Iron. Just goes to show you how powerful FCPX is. With its ability to practically bring in every single plugin from Logic Pro X, you can record your acoustics along side with picture. You don’t have to be restricted by “picture-lock.” Edit, create, and explore as you go. What a great way to enhance your visual story. I’m a bit jealous that I didn’t discovere this earlier! Then again, we learn something every day. How awesome.

  1. Thank you so much for this. I didn’t even realize that Final Cut Pro X did this and it’s saved me hours of scynhing and a world of headaches. One thing I noted, though. You went through a lot of steps to pull out the original clip audio / junk track. You can actually just double-click the clip in the clip bin and handle it there, allowing you to treat the clip as a single source clip. Thanks, again!

    1. Correct. I didn’t do this. I just happened to find it and posted it here. There’s a lot of creative things you can do with FCPX. Since, I’m a musician. I tend to go to Logic Pro X for composing. As of know, FCPX is evolving in to a great editing system.
