Thanks to Jack Foley and other pioneers, what’s a movie with out sound today? Pretty boring. It will have to be visually compelling to forgive it’s absence of sound. When a movie hits the post-production stage, it’s often sent off to many people. Not just the editor. Yes, we have the composer as well. But there’s more artist behind the movie than what you think. Reminder, ever stayed behind reading movie credits at the end of a film? Yeah, that’s a lot of people. The sound department is a monster of its own. From refining and cleaning dialogue to creating monster roars, this department is pretty diverse.
